Description
Explore a new way to look at and build the art of collage with an eye towards using color, shape, pattern and composition as a means to construct an image that is out of the ordinary mindset of this time-honored medium. We will explore the basics of composition through the Architecture of Space principles focusing on foundation shapes that anchor the composition to the spatial plane.
This is an online workshop that is set up like an in-person one where I am present in my studio for 3 days in a row.
A collaborative folder will be setup on google drive that will correspond with the flow of the workshop where you’ll be able to upload / post your evolving collage and ask any questions—I’ll be monitoring this throughout the workshop. The workshop will be recorded and available for one month after that 3-day period which I’ll monitor periodically to guide you if there are parts of the 3-day period that you have to signoff because of the time differences globally.
