Sharon lives, paints and teaches in Calgary,AB, and is a signature member of the Federation of Canadian Artists (AFCA) and International Plein Air Painters. She has been happily exploring diverse media and subjects for the last 35 years, and her mantra is “What would happen if…”

Sharon’s art is about her love for the landscape, filtered through her extensive background of colour and design, to express the joy and freedom she finds in her subjects. Sharon’s work is full of lively colour, which expresses her joy of painting. Her work is informed by the landscapes that she paints en plein air, her passion for gardening and love of the human figure.

She is a sought after instructor who has a genuine love for her students and a ton of knowledge to share. Sharon’s interpretations of the beauty around her, as well as her vivid imagination make for an eclectic and varied body of work in many different media. She is always eager to try something
new and exciting!
