I have always been interested in art, and after a focus on family and professional translation, I turned to a serious pursuit of painting.
My passion for painting spans a wide range of subjects from landscape to figures, alleyways to urban
scenes, florals and waterscapes.
Shape, line, color, light and shadow are just some of the elements that inspire me to paint a particular subject.
My aim is to capture and portray the spirit of a scene and greatest satisfaction occurs when a viewer is drawn into my work.
I paint both plein air and in studio.
I have taken classes and workshops from leading artists in Canada, the United States and Italy.
I paint under my Italian name of Tarini.
I am a member of the Federation of Canadian Artists, The Calgary Artists Society, and the Leighton Art
Centre.
