Osi Cruz-Lahtinen

Osi is a Mexican-Canadian artist, Architect, and Children’s Minister who initiated her love for Art at an early age.

It was during Junior High, that she started to develop her technique thanks to mentors who invested in and challenged her. While in University, she leaned into bolder textures and colours. Art History, lessons, practice, experimentation with different media, and the inspiration she draws from masterpieces of Mexican Artists & other International geniuses have helped her to continually grow. She is now part of the Federation of Canadian Artists and continues to grow under the mentorship of its Master Artists.

Her Artwork combines experiences, spirituality, love for life, and values expressed in the use of different media with an impressionist flair. Living in Canada under the magnificent Alberta Skies
and building a life with her family have inspired her to continue painting and creating in whatever way she can. From this, the series “Life in Central Alberta”, “Alberta Skies”, “Winter Skies”, Alberta Sunrises” and “The Work of our hands: have been born. She loves Plein Air painting and teaches others from time to time.

You can find her work at the different seasonal Shows in Alberta and British Columbia. Some of her work has found its home in Canada, Latin America, and Europe by Private collectors. “Life is a magnificent canvas of endless opportunities in which we can paint the masterpiece of our dreams if we’re totally committed and do not give up. Remember to look up, you’re not alone”- Osi
