Description
Join us as we break down seemingly-complicated animals into simple forms. We’ll learn how to become “shape hunters” as we look for the beautiful abstract in our subjects, and we’ll use the concept of massing to create a solid foundation to build our paintings on. We’ll focus on strengthening value relationships, using dynamic color combinations to showcase light and shadow, and learn tricks to convey the shapes and textures of animals with clean, beautiful strokes. (This class will be taught using oils, but feel free to use the medium of your choice.)
Open to all artists with some experience and those who are advanced oil painters.
A supply list will be sent out prior to the workshop to registered participants.
