Description
Learn to paint portraits full of colour and energy in this 2 day workshop. Using photos of your own, or those that Ingrid provides, you’ll discover the keys to accurate proportions and fuss-free features. We’ll tackle different ages and skin colours with the aim of developing a logical system that you can apply to any portrait in the future. Throughout, our focus will be on creating the illusion of form. The cheeks should feel round, the eyes set back in the skull. We won’t copy the flat photo reference, we’ll transcend it. If painting a face has been a daunting prospect for you in the past, this workshop will demystify it and give you the tools to explore this wonderful and rewarding genre with confidence.
