Often we hear accounts of artists who have applied once, or several times, to join the Federation of Canadian Artists and have not been successful. These are hard experiences because we know how many artistic hopes and dreams are tied into the success of these applications. The result is often a barrage of questions.
Questions like:
– Why am I not getting in?
– What do I have to do differently?
– Maybe I shouldn’t even apply.
This is the plight of the professional artists, second guessing our decisions based on results.
In this workshop we will going to cover the key things to keep in mind when you are applying, help you refocus your energies, and improve your artwork along the way.
We will have 3 hours together to dive deep into what jurors are looking for, how to best present your artwork for your submission, and strengthen your mindset so the results, either positive or negative, don’t send you for a loop.
