Originally from
Victoria, British Columbia, Rosemary has resided in Southern Alberta
since the 1970's. She now resides in Calgary. An avid interest in horses
and wildlife and a love for the outdoors are expressed through her work.
A self taught artist, Rosemary has supplemented her education with
courses at Mount Royal College and The
University of Calgary.
Rosemary is proficient in many mediums such as oils, water colours and
soft pastels
Regarded as a representational artist, Rosemary’s subjects include
landscape, florals, animals, and old western buildings in their rugged
historical settings.
Rosemary has exhibited her paintings in many shows and exhibitions. A
number of her works are in private collections across Canada and the
United States. She held her first solo show titled "Echoes from the
Past" at the Station Cultural Centre in Okotoks, Alberta in 1997. Her
second solo show “Reflections of France” ran in 2008 at the Station
Cultural Centre in Okotoks Alberta.
Rosemary is a long term member of the Federation of Canadian Artists and
is Membership Secretary and Vice President of the Calgary Chapter.
A full time artist and artisan, her passion for the arts keep her active
on a year round basis.
